Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about parking, departure, and airport buses

Q. How accurate is the parking data?

NaruGate reads the official Incheon International Airport API once an hour, on the hour, and the page shows the last stored reading. Cars keep arriving and leaving in between, so the number of free spaces when you get there can differ — we recommend checking again just before you leave home.

Q. Can I use any departure gate, regardless of my airline?

Yes! At Incheon Airport T1, all six security gates (1–6) lead to the same airside duty-free area — they are all connected inside. So you can pick whichever gate NaruGate shows as least congested, regardless of your airline's check-in counter location.

Q. How do multi-child families get the parking discount?

Korean families with 2 or more children, the youngest aged 18 or under, get 50% off parking. Register in advance on the airport's automatic-discount website with the vehicle registration (in a parent's or grandparent's name) and a resident registration copy; once approved, the discount is applied automatically at the exit. It cannot be applied on site, so if you left without registering, apply for a refund on the same website afterwards. Q. Do I need to book airport bus seats in advance?

Mostly no. Going from the city to the airport, almost every route takes you without a booking and you pay on board. From the airport it depends on the operator: Airport Limousine routes 6001, 6002 and 6015 board first come, first served at T1 (cash or transit card), though ticket holders board first, and at T2 you buy a ticket first at the B1 ticket counter or kiosk. Korea Airport Limousine (6701–6705) and City Airport Limousine (6100–6104) also sell the ticket first at the counter or kiosk. Only the reserved-seat routes 8852 and 8877 (Kyungnam Travel) need a booking in the BUSTAGO app. Each route page shows how to pay for that bus.

Q. Can I see departure congestion for Terminal 2 (T2) too?

Yes. Since 18 September 2026 NaruGate has received the airport corporation's public T2 departure data, so the departure congestion page shows Terminal 2 departure halls 1 and 2 (east and west side, lanes A–D each) next to T1, with the number of people waiting and the pass time. The figures are the corporation's own measurements, collected every 30 minutes, so the page shows the last reading received.

Q. Are power banks allowed in carry-on luggage?

Yes — power banks, e-cigarettes, and lighters must be carried in your hand luggage (not checked baggage) due to fire risk. Each power bank must be under 160 Wh. Remove them from your bag at security screening.
