Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I land after midnight — how do I get to Dongdaemun?

Night buses N6002 and N6701 run after the regular buses stop. N6002 leaves T1 at 00:00, 00:30, 01:00, 01:40, 04:00 and 04:40 and stops at Hongik Univ. Stn. · Gwanghwamun (Four Seasons Hotel) · Dongdaemun Stn. · Cheongnyangni Stn. Buy the N6002 ticket first at a ticket counter or kiosk (T1 1st floor, T2 B1) before boarding at the airport. N6701 leaves T1 at 23:50, 00:40, 01:40, 03:45 and 04:40 and stops at Mapo Stn (Seoul Garden Hotel) · Seoul Station · Euljiro 1(il)-ga Stn (The Grand Lotte Seoul) · Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). From T2 it leaves 20 minutes earlier. Buy the N6701 ticket first at a ticket counter or kiosk (T1 1st floor, T2 B1) before boarding at the airport. Outside those times a taxi is the realistic option — see the fare estimate on this page.

Q. There seem to be few buses to Dongdaemun — what are my options?

Only routes 6002 and 6001 serve Dongdaemun, fewer than most districts, so at busy times the rail route (AREX with one Line 1 transfer, about 55 minutes) is a dependable backup.

Q. Dongdaemun night markets run late — does that help my late arrival?

The markets may be open, but airport transport still winds down at night — the shopping district's late hours don't extend bus or train service, so plan your airport leg around transport times, not market hours.
