Does the Day of the Week Really Matter?
Less than you might think if you take the train, more if you drive. Rail arrivals at the two airport stations differ by only 12% between the busiest day (Monday) and the quietest (Thursday). Free spaces in the T1 long-term car parks, on the other hand, fell from 2,392–2,541 midweek to 621 on a Sunday.

Weekday Advantages in Detail
- Tuesday to Thursday had the most room — rail arrivals were 4–5% below average and the T1 long-term car parks kept 2,392–2,541 spaces free even at their fullest.
- Sundays fill T1 long-term P1 early — on both 13 and 20 Sep it had no free space by 6 am.
- Holidays are another level — on the first day of Chuseok 2026 only 1 of 9,713 T1 long-term spaces was left at 6 pm. See the full record (Korean).
Weekend Tips (When You Have No Choice)
- Pre-book parking at least 1–2 weeks ahead — walk-up spots fill quickly on Saturday/Sunday
- Arrive at least 3.5–4 hours before departure on weekends
- Use SmartPass to access the fast-track security lane
- Check NaruGate parking data before leaving home to target a zone with remaining spaces
